Anna Parker

Office Manager

Anna completed her master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology through Liberty University after studying Family Sciences at Eastern New Mexico University. Coming from a background in the outdoor adventure industry, Anna is passionate about getting outside and enjoying nature both through physical activity and by soaking in nature’s stillness. Coming alongside people, meeting their needs, and seeing them grow is where Anna thrives. She is excited to be here to serve you in this season.

Angelica Villicana, LCSW

Clinical Director

Angelica has earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. Angelica is currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Mexico. Angelica has experience in outpatient mental health (child, adolescents, adults, couples and families), substance abuse (adolescents and adults) as well as collaboration with the juvenile justice system. Angelica has also provided day and night crisis on call/intervention and has received EMDR training. Angelica is certified in Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) protocol.

Obtuve mi Licenciatura (2007) y Maestría (2008) en Trabajo Social de la Universidad de Nueva México Highlands en Las Vegas, NM. He estado en el campo desde 2009 con experiencia en salud mental ambulatoria (niños, adultos, parejas y familias), abuso de sustancias (niños y adultos), así como la colaboración con el sistema de justicia juvenil. Durante mis 9 años en el campo también he proporcionado crisis diurnas y nocturnas de guardia/intervención y he recibido capacitación en EMDR. En diciembre de 2018 me certifiqué en Reconsolidación del Protocolo de Memorias Traumáticas (RTM) para tratar los síntomas relacionados con el TEPT.

Danielle Burke, LMHC

Clinical Therapist

Danielle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She obtained her Masters in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Danielle has almost 10 years experience working with children and families. She believes in utilizing a strengths based approach to support clients with building resiliency skills. Her special interests include depression, anxiety and trauma.

Jammie Stone-Stevens, LMFT

Clinical Supervisor

Jammie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. She received her Master’s Degree in Psychology from Brandman University specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Counseling. Jammie’s therapeutic background includes conflict resolution, in-home stabilization for youth and their family, crisis intervention, and working with both youth and adult forensic populations. Areas of special interest includes: trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, and life-span development. Jammie provides individual, couple, family therapy for youth and adults with an integrative Neuro-Narrative Therapy approach. Jammie is certified in Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) protocol.

Amber Vigil, LCSW

Clinical Supervisor

Amber is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She obtained her Master’s Degree from New Mexico Highlands University Facundo School of Social Work with a concentration in clinical social work. Amber’s education also includes psychology, family studies, and sociology. Amber’s background had been providing In Home Services to include interventions and safety planning for families, specifically safety planning around the children as well as school social work at the elementary level. Currently, Amber provides therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families using strength based and family systems perspective. Her special areas include working with children with a variety of eligibilities including Autism, ADHD, and behavioral difficulties. Amber also specialized in trauma work for all age groups and is certified in Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) protocol. Other areas of practice include anxiety, depression, and overall self-improvement. Amber is passionate in working with others to gain new tools and knowledge to create positive changes for self and community.

Shannon Spilsbury, LAMFT

Clinical Therapist

Shannon is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She obtained her Master’s Degree from Capella University in 2020 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Liberty University in 2017. She has chosen to specialize in Marriage and Family therapy as she believes marriages and families are the heartbeat of our communities. When we learn patience and understanding we can learn to see each other and our worth as people which helps us do better and be better than the generations before us, and that is how we change future generations. Shannon also loves working with adolescents and individuals. Shannon is certified in the Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) protocol.  

Kylie Montoya, LPCC

Clinical Therapist

Kylie is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, LPCC, in the State of New Mexico. She obtained a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico, specializing in clinical mental health counseling. Kylie has a background in treatment foster care, crisis intervention with children and adolescents, as well as experience working with eating disorders. Kylie is passionate about working closely with clients to establish personal growth and stimulate self-reflection through the therapeutic relationship, which includes giving support, building client resilience/insight, and discovering new meaning through exploration of the client’s life narrative. Kylie’s areas of special interest are adolescents, eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, gender dysphoria, depression, trauma, grief, and sexuality. Kylie is certified in Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) protocol.

Hazel Miranda, Clinical Intern

Hazel is a Clinical Intern and is currently completing her Master’s in social work at New Mexico Highlands University in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Child and Family development from the University of New Mexico. She has a background working with adults with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse. She enjoys utilizing a strength-based and person-centered approach to help build upon resources collaborating with clients to achieve goals and strengthen resiliency by recognizing strengths.


Ilianna Drake

Clinical Support Specialist

Ilianna is currently going to school to pursue a degree in Worship Studies at Liberty University. She has a huge passion for singing and music. She is currently trying to learn an instrument which takes a lot of hard work and dedication. She also has a passion for people and helping them in any way that she can. She enjoys being able to speak to clients and help them get the help they need and deserve.


Jadyn Lopez

Clinical Support Specialist

Jadyn is a Clinical Support Specialists at the Rio Rancho location. She is working on her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of New Mexico. She will be graduating in the spring and moving on to graduate school to get her master’s degree in Social Work. She hopes to work with children.  Jadyn believes that mental health is extremely important which is why she enjoys working where she can make an impact.  Jadyn enjoys helping clients in any way she can to ensure that she is empowering change in her community. In her free time, Jadyn enjoys skiing, reading, and spending time with family.

Kyleigh Rivera is a graduate student with New Mexico Highlands University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in studio art from Beloit College in Wisconsin. Kyleigh is a native New Mexican who considers herself a lifelong learner with a passion to serve her community. Kyleigh is currently under the supervision of Jammie Stone-Stevens, LMFT, during her practicum and internship with The Family Connection.


Abena Marfowaa Owusu-Nkwantabisah, Clinical Therapist

My name is Abena, a clinical therapist at The Family Connection, LLC in Rio Rancho, NM. I earned my master’s degree in clinical Mental health counseling at State University of New York (SUNY) Brockport. I have worked with diverse individuals in the college setting with issues such as life stress issues, career concern, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, frustration/anger issues, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress issues, existential challenges/crises, stress emotional regulations & self-esteem, behavioral disfunction, bipolar and personality disorders and identity issues. I am also a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor-Trainee (CASAC-T) and have worked with individuals with substance abuse. Before MHC, I have worked as a family medicine physician in my homeland of Ghana. In my mental health counseling profession, I apply the concepts of Psychoanalytic, Adlerian, Rogerian, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused theories, Motivational Interviewing techniques, the use of Narrative therapy and other integrated approaches to work with persons with diverse cultural backgrounds.


Seth Holsapple, Clinical Intern

Seth is a graduate student at New Mexico State University. He is pursuing his Master’s degree in Social Work with a projected graduation date of May 2023. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico in 2015. Seth has a background working with adults at the University Psychiatric Center as a community support worker for the past five years. Seth is interested in working with clients collaboratively to help them reach their goals, improve their quality of life, and enhance their self-worth. Clinical areas of interest include substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and living authentically. Seth is excited for the opportunity to intern with The Family Connection and to continue his professional development.
