Debra Dederich-Elsner, LPCC

Clinical Director

Debra is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from St. Norbert College and completed her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Lakeland College in Wisconsin. Debra has experience working with individuals with mood disorders, anxiety, anger management, ADHD, and depression. She also has a passion for working with children and adolescents in which she incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy and Play Therapy to help address communication and behavioral issues. Debra believes in the strengths and qualities of each of her clients, encouraging them to positively grow and develop in a safe therapeutic setting. Debra is certified in Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) protocol.

Liz Lopez

Clinical Therapist

Liz Lopez is completing her master’s degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. She has had many years working with and within tribes and schools in the substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, and bullying prevention. Liz also has experience working in the fields of the developmentally disabled, HIV/AIDS, liturgical and religious education, and music.

Caroline Valverde, LHMC

Clinical Therapist

Caroline is a recent Masters Level Clinical Intern, who graduated in May 2020 from Grand Canyon University. She has earned two Master’s degrees (Master of Science in Psychology from University of Phoenix (2013) and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University). Caroline works to establish a warm and welcoming environment for the clients she serves to encourage a safe space for healing and personal growth. Caroline’s clinical experience includes depression, anxiety, and trauma. She loves helping clients learn valuable skills to help them make positive adjustments in all aspects of their lives. Caroline is certified in Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) protocol. 


Sarah Torres

Clinical Therapist

Sarah is currently a master’s Level Clinical Intern, at New Mexico Highlands University Facundo Valdez School of Social Work. She enjoys working alongside families of all ages, to create a warm and welcoming environment that promotes a safe place for healing and growth. Sarah values helping individuals build from their strengths and grow within their family unit and community. She embraces developing new skills and exploring a variety of cultures, as culture is the root to our family tree.

Angelica Chavez

Clinical Intern

Angelica is a Master’s level clinical intern completing her Master’s degree in Social Work from the Facundo Valdez School of Social Work at New Mexico Highlands University. Angelica’s educational history includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Family & Child studies, from The University of New Mexico. She enjoys working with families and individuals of all ages and is passionate about providing a safe and welcoming environment for individuals to grow, heal, and rebuild. Angelica enjoys volunteering within her local community and is dedicated to supporting and promoting the well-being of all. In her free time, Angelica enjoys baking, cooking, and spending time with family.
